Business Mentoring

Mentor/Professional Friend Support for Practitioners

I know what it’s like.

I don’t just ‘talk positive’….

I listen, work to understand, and find practical answers to real challenges,

because reframing reality can get you as stuck as not doing anything.

If you’d like a supportive professional friend with 25 years + in the business, I don’t offer generic business advice or a scripted ‘VIP Day.’This is real business support from lived experience, including the mistakes, which are often the most useful bit.

Whether you’re just starting out or trying to grow what you’ve already built, I can help you work out where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there. I don’t work in jargon or scripts. What I offer is real human experience, practical thinking and honest guidance.

From writing your business plan, working out your pricing, sourcing the things you need from professional support to insurance, marketing, advertising, admin systems, compliance matters, to getting to grips how you’re going to do your banking to tax, insurance and other matters — I’m the supportive professional ‘friend’ who can supply the information nobody teaches you when you qualify.

I can also help you think through the bigger strategic questions: what kind of practice do you want that will meet your needs too?
And how are you going to get from here to there.

A Bit About Me

I started out as office manager to an entrepreneur in London moving to Practice Manager of a law firm.

I was then self-employment for over 25 years, first as a reflexologist and aromatherapist, then as an HCPC registered Podiatrist alongside. I’ve worked in clinics, therapy rooms, people’s homes doing domiciliary work and cross-trained into other practices including talking therapies, among other things, for personal and business development. I’ve also recently created a very niche creative photography education business from scratch (my personal interest) including writing two books, building a YouTube channel from scratch and getting featured in magazines.

I’ve picked myself up from two life crisis, being run over by a police car and later a serious illness, and turned things back around. I’ve learned the hard way that ‘positive self talk’ can be anything but positive if you’re denying your own reality. I like to work by positively acknowledging the possibilities and the pitfalls, finding practical solutions to the challenges and always recognising the humanity in one another so words are true communication not simply a narrative closed loop.

Fees

We start with a free initial Zoom chat — no obligation, no hard sell, just an honest conversation about whether I can help. If you wish to go ahead a block of sessions is the only way to go for meaningful work… then followed by hourly rates for ongoing clients. Nice and simple.

Three 2 hours sessions on zoom, or in person if you’re local, £330

Then £60 per hour thereafter for ad hoc or ongoing support.
