Is it you who does the work, do you employ other people?
It’s always me. I’m intentionally small and personal because that’s how I like to work and my clients prefer it. The only time I might use an associate is if I need a break but you would then be given the choice and given notice.
Are there any additional costs?
No. The fees I quote are the fees you pay.
The only addition would be any costs incurred by your business. I will pay postage, phone calls etc on your behalf and add that to you invoice for the next month. Everything will be itemised.
How do I know what you’ve done with the banked time?
I use app clockify to keep a check on my hours and you will be given a breakdown of how the time was used in the end of month statement of expenditure.
What if I don’t use all my banked hours one month?
In the unlikely event your hours aren’t used up by the end of the month up to a maximum of half the hours will be rolled forward for one month.
Can I add more hours?
Yes, subject to me having availability. I am very flexible and do keep spare time capacity available so clients can nearly always have more time as required.
I have a large project, can you help?
Please get in touch and let me know what it is and how much time you envisage it needing spread over what sort of time period and I can let you know almost immediately if I have capacity and then set up a meeting to discuss things in more detail.
I’m an author, can you help me edit my Manuscript and/or help me navigate self publishing?
Yes, I would love to. I have editorial training and writing is something I absolutely love. Please email me with details of your project. I provide editorial, self publishing support I’m sorry I don’t proof-read.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a week of agreeing terms and receiving payment.
Do you sign a confidentiality agreement?
Yes, confidentiality is built into my standard terms and conditions and I’m happy to sign a separate NDA if required.
What are your working hours?
My own response time to clients is within one working day. Where I am managing your inbox or client communications on your behalf, response times will be agreed with you individually as part of your service scope.
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
I currently work with UK-based clients. If you’re based outside the UK please get in touch and we can discuss whether I’m able to help.
