The eye moves through an image and it moves through a website in just the same way… You can put things together nicely, smartly, professionally but where is the eye going… That’s art. Abstract art is the most incredible example of this artists work to intuitively place shape it’s never random although it might appear so… shape colour and form is placed to move the eye from one place to another and it’s planned. That’s why abstract art can be so tricky to master when you begin and then becomes so difficult to explain once you’ve got the hang of it…
Websites are the same… They are a piece of artwork or they should be, imagery, shape, form, typeface are art and they can work for you or against you…
